01 / Find it in your menu bar
After opening TickerTab, find its entry at the top of your Mac screen. Click to open your watchlist, or right-click (Control-click) for quick settings.
On first launch, a starter watchlist is ready for you. Change it to match the markets you follow.
02 / Build your watchlist
Click the plus icon and search by name or ticker, such as AAPL, BTC-USD or an index name. Select a search result to add it to your watchlist.
Drag rows to reorder your watchlist. To remove a symbol, right-click its row and choose Remove.
03 / Pin a symbol
Click any symbol in your watchlist to show its quote in the menu bar. You can also pin it from the context menu or choose a symbol in Settings.
Your menu bar keeps one favorite in view. Open the panel to see the rest.
04 / Make it yours
Open Settings from the top of the panel to choose the app language, refresh interval, pinned symbol and whether TickerTab launches when you log in.
These preferences and your watchlist are stored on this Mac. Account-based sync is not available in the current version.
05 / Understand quotes and refresh
The app fetches data at your chosen interval. You can also refresh manually. The bottom of the panel shows the update time or an error message.
If quotes stop updating, check your connection and try a manual refresh. Providers may delay or limit requests, or temporarily lack data for a symbol. The app may keep the last successful quote, so check its update time.
